Is Masanto Foundation completely free?
Yes! All our programs, courses, and mentorship are 100% free. We never charge students for education. We are funded by donations, corporate partnerships, and foundation grants.
Who can join Masanto Foundation programs?
Anyone can join! We welcome students of all backgrounds, ages 13 and above, from anywhere in the world. No prior coding experience is required for our beginner courses.
How do I get started?
Visit masanto.org/learn to browse courses, then click "Join Free Classes". Fill out a simple form and you'll get access within 24 hours.
Programs & Courses
What programming languages do you teach?
We teach Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Node.js, and cloud technologies including AWS. Our curriculum covers web development, cloud computing, and AI fundamentals.
How long do courses take to complete?
Most courses are 6-10 weeks long with 10-15 hours of study per week. You can learn at your own pace. Our Web Development course is 8 weeks, Cloud Computing is 6 weeks.
Can I learn if I have a full-time job?
Absolutely! Our courses are self-paced and flexible. Most students study 10-15 hours per week outside work. Evening and weekend sessions are available.
What are the requirements to join?
You need a computer with internet, basic computer literacy, and commitment to learning. No prior programming experience required.
Mentorship & Support
Will I get one-on-one mentorship?
Yes! All students are paired with experienced mentors who are industry professionals. You get weekly 1-on-1 sessions, code reviews, and career guidance.
Who are the mentors?
Our mentors are software engineers, cloud architects, and tech professionals from companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and leading startups.
How often can I meet with my mentor?
Weekly 1-on-1 sessions (30-60 minutes). You can also ask questions via Slack/Discord anytime.
Certificates & Career
Do you offer certificates?
Yes! Upon completing a course and passing assessments, you receive a digital certificate for LinkedIn, resumes, and portfolios.
Do you help with job placement?
Yes! We offer career counseling, resume reviews, interview prep, and connections to hiring partners. Many graduates have landed tech jobs.
Are the certificates recognized by employers?
Our certificates demonstrate practical skills. Combined with your portfolio projects, they show employers you can code professionally.
Technical Questions
Do I need to install special software?
You'll need a code editor (we recommend VS Code - free) and a web browser. All tools we use are free and open-source.
Can I use a Mac, Windows, or Linux?
Yes! Our courses work on all operating systems. We provide setup guides for each platform.
What if I get stuck on a problem?
You have multiple support options: your mentor, our community Slack/Discord, office hours, and peer study groups.
